The threat is a backdoor trojan that allows a remote attacker access and control of a Linux-based PHP web server.

Threats such as this one (also known as a backdoor shell) are typically installed on a PC that has already been infected by a malicious hacker. The presence of this threat indicates that the machine (and associated web servers) have been compromised.

You should perform a full clean and change all usernames and passwords for the machine and associated web servers.
