Win32/Netsky.V@mm is a mass-mailing worm that targets computers running certain versions of Microsoft Windows. It may target computers that are not patched with Microsoft Security Bulletin MS99-032 or MS03-040. The worm sends itself to e-mail addresses that it finds on the infected computer. Unlike earlier Netsky variants, this variant sends only a URL to target computers. When a user clicks the link, the target computer downloads the file and runs it. The worm also contains a backdoor component and performs denial of service (DoS) attacks against certain Web sites.
