Windows IT Pro Readers Choice Awards

Ok, so this is  little bit of bragging….but I cant help it. Windows IT Pro magazine recently announced their 5th annual Readers’ Choice Awards. In this year’s contest, readers chose from nearly 750 products that were nominated in 12 major technology categories and 76 subcategories. (sheesh!) 

Thanks to all of the readers who took the time to vote!  It is always nice to see that we are delivering products that our customers hold in high regard.

Below is a listing of the products and categories Windows IT Pro readers recognized the Windows Server Division for—amounting to several 9 1st place wins and 3 2nd place wins.

Winner:
–       Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003, was selected Winner in the category of Fax Gateway
–       Windows Server 2003 R2, was selected Winner in the category of VPN Solution,  Meta/Virtual Directory and Load Balancer
–       Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 and Windows Storage Server 2003 R2, were selected Winner in the category of Quota-Management Software
–       Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services, was selected Winner in the category of Collaboration Solution and Winner in the category of Document Management/Imaging Software
–       Microsoft Storage Server 2003 R2, was selected Winner in the category of NAS Device
–       Windows Server 2003 R2 ADFS, was selected Winner in the category of User Authentication Solution (Password Management, Two-Factor, Biometric)
–       Windows Server Terminal Services 2003 R2, was selected Winner in the category of Remote Control Software
 Runner up:
–       Microsoft Windows Firewall in Windows Server 2003 R2, was selected 1st Runner Up in the category of Firewall/Server or Standalone. (ISA 2006 Beta won 1st place)
–       Microsoft Identity Integration Server (MIIS) 2003, was selected 1st Runner Up in the category of User Authentication Solution (Password Management, Two-Factor, Biometric) (Windows Server 2003 R2 ADFS won 1st place)
–       Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2, was selected 1st Runner Up in the category of Virtualization Software
