When I was pregnant with my daughter, I kept getting asked that question, “What are you going to call the baby?” Day after day… week after week… Aside from “Is it a boy or a girl?”, that was the big question. I found myself thinking back to that line of questioning again this week, when I saw some interesting tidbits in the blogsphere about the possible name of Windows Server “Longhorn”.
As my teammate David stated on the blog a while ago, it won’t be called Vista Server and that is still the case, no matter who says it 🙂
While we are making great strides with Windows Sever “Longhorn” and will have Beta 3 out in the first half of this year, it’s interesting to see that the speculation on the product’s name continues. So, if I were going to bet on a name, I’d say tune in when we release Beta 3 and you’ll find out.
A little suspense never hurt anyone.
P.S. My daughter’s name is Audrey – just because we liked the name. Hmm… now that I think about it, “Windows Server Audrey” does have a nice ring to it…
