Group Transcribe provides real-time transcription and translation for in-person meetings and conversations. Powered by cutting edge speech and language technology and with a unique multi-device audio input format, the project enables highly accurate speaker attribution so conversation participants can see who said what in their preferred language.

The app was designed with accessibility in mind. The live transcript enables people who are deaf, hard of hearing, and non-native speakers to participate in conversations fully by follow along in real time. Group Transcribe enables all participants to be more present and focused in meetings with the confidence of a high quality transcript.

The project also allows users to contribute to the advancement and inclusivity of speech and language AI by contributing conversation data through the app. Group Transcribe supports languages spoken in 80+ distinct locales, and every digital donation helps improve the quality of the speech and language models. A core pillar of responsible AI is AI designed to help diverse groups, and the team hopes the project can close the gap with much-needed, quality training data. The app contains granular data controls so users can choose to include conversation data on a case-by-case basis.
