We recently published an energy calculator template from one of our content partners in Canada, Microsoft Home Magazine. During that process, they let us know about a board game activity that they recently published on their site, and we love it!

The online article provides useful how-to steps and it comes with Word and Excel templates (take your pick) for creating your own personal board game. It also comes with templates for creating and customizing your own playing cards.

If you’re looking for a classroom activity, entertainment for a family reunion, an ice breaker for a wedding or baby shower, or an engaging project with your kids, this might be just the ticket:

If you like this article, feel free to sign up for the monthly newsletter from Microsoft Home Magazine, or go here to learn more about them. They have contests where you can show off your computer know-how in any number of ways but better yet….they have a template gallery!

Enjoy creating your own board game, your own playing cards, or both! And if you’re really into games and do-it-yourself projects, why not publish the final version to our community templates on Office Online? It’s easy to sign in and submit your work.

*Your user name will show who’s the creative mastermind behind the fun and games.*
