Virus:Win32/Autorun.NE is a virus that infects all Windows files and spreads by copying itself to the root of all drives.

This threat may make lasting changes to an affected system’s files that will NOT be restored by detecting and removing this threat. The virus adds an ‘.exe’ extension to infected files that will NOT be removed when the files are cleaned by your Microsoft antimalware protection solution. In order to restore infected files to their pre-infected state, the additional ‘.exe’ file extension must be manually removed after the files have been cleaned. However, should this action fail, infected files may need to be restored from backup.
