Toyota’s road to make driving more personal starts with Microsoft Azure

As the automotive industry continues to merge into the fast lane of driving the next generation of personalized driving experiences, we are happy to announce we are working with Toyota to support their connected efforts.

Toyota just announced that it is launching Toyota Connected, a new company that will develop and service connected car solutions globally, as the company seeks to connect cars to people’s daily lives. Toyota Connected will serve as a data science hub for Toyota’s global operations and will help expand the company’s mobile and data analytics capabilities. Microsoft’s Azure will be the cloud computing platform, providing a hybrid solution for everything Toyota Connected creates as it works to develop predictive, contextual, and intuitive services that help to humanize the driving experience.

This news from Toyota continues the advancements in the industry that are enabling differentiated, connected and intelligent experiences for the driver—from pre-sales to ownership. From our announcement last week around how we are collaborating with BMW to build a new kind of car intelligence, to our recent showcases with several leading automakers that demonstrate leading connected car strategies, it’s clear that the automotive industry is fast to move to transform the consumer experience with differentiated tools and platforms—like Microsoft Azure and Office 365— to help the car become a core part of a consumer’s digital lifestyle.

I invite you to read more here about the exciting work that we are doing with Toyota.
