“Agent” is an industry-standard term commonly used to describe AI assistants. Customers can build agents in Copilot Studio and publish them to other platforms to improve their organization’s business processes. Agents built in Copilot Studio can be added to Microsoft 365 Copilot to give Copilot access to new knowledge and skills and to execute processes on your behalf. The ability to build and add agents to Microsoft 365 Copilot is included in the Microsoft 365 Copilot license.
- Microsoft supports diverse user needs. The Agent Builder experience inside Microsoft 365 Copilot is ideal for quick, simple agents, while Copilot Studio enables robust solutions with deeper control and application lifecycle management and governance across a number of internal and external channels.
