Research Intern for AI/ML Group (Shanghai)

Job Type: Full-time Intern Number of Openings: 2-4 Location: Shanghai Group Introduction:  The research direction of the Shanghai AI/ML Group at Microsoft Research Asia (Shanghai) focuses on the study of cutting-edge machine learning algorithms and their applications in fields such as brain science and healthcare. The team members have rich research experience, and in recent years, they have published dozens of papers in top conferences and journals in related fields such as Nature Cardiovascular Research, Nature Communications, PNAS, ICML, NIPS, ICLR, etc. The team has also successfully utilized AI technology, in collaboration with partners, to innovatively solve practical problems in the healthcare field. Job Responsibilities:  Collaborate with researchers in related directions to deeply explore hot topics related to machine learning research and applications, conduct data analysis, algorithm design, algorithm implementation, experimental analysis, and result presentation. Work with researchers in related directions to publish papers in top conferences and journals on artificial intelligence or interdisciplinary fields. Qualifications: 
  1. Strong desire to conduct world-leading scientific research and publish papers in top conferences or journals.
  2. Proficiency in at least one mainstream programming language, such as Python.
  3. Master’s or PhD students in related fields such as Computer Science or Neuroscience, with strong English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
  4. Preference will be given to those who have published papers in top conferences or journals in related AI fields. Candidates with research experience in foundational model training, multimodal learning, time series data analysis, bioinformatics, and neuroscience are preferred.
Internship Duration Requirements:  Candidates must obtain the permission of their advisors and commit to at least 3 months of full-time/part-time internship.   3. 熟练掌握至少一门主流编程语言，如Python等。
  4. 硕士或博士研究生，专业为计算机、神经科学等相关专业，具有较强的英文听说读写能力。
  5. 在人工智能相关领域顶级会议或者期刊发表过论文者优先考虑。在基础模型训练、多模态学习、时序数据分析、生物信息学和神经科学等领域具有研究经验者优先考虑。
