Research Intern for System Group (Shanghai)

Number of Openings: 2-4 Location: Shanghai Group Introduction: The System Group (Shanghai) at Microsoft Research Asia is dedicated to developing efficient and effective systems for large foundational models such as LLMs and LMMs, as well as systems built upon them like AI Agents and Copilots. Our research is featured at top-tier conferences such as OSDI, SOSP, EuroSys, ATC, CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS, etc. Our current research interests are centered on system-algorithm co-innovations in areas such as:
  • Efficient inference systems for large language models and vision models, particularly for the long-context scenarios
  • Deep learning compiling frameworks and efficient kernel generation for a variety of computing devices.
  • Systems and algorithms for AI Agents, encompassing both efficient serving and scheduling systems, and effective learning algorithms.
Job Responsibilities:
  1. Engage in top-tier research and development of algorithms and systems to push the boundaries of AI.
  2. Evaluate and pinpoint the primary challenges of current AI systems, and propose viable solutions.
  3. Design and execute solutions to address real-world issues and enhance performance.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or other related fields.
  2. Solid foundation in data structures and algorithms.
  3. Excellent programming skills or relevant project experience.
  4. Quick learning ability.
  5. Proficiency in using English as a working language.
  6. Strong communication skills and team collaboration spirit.
  7. Written consent from your academic advisor.

  6. 具有良好的沟通能力和团队协作精神
  7. 能得到导师的书面同意
