Sr. Applied Research Scientist

À propos

I work on applying AI to solve problems in the fields of sustainability, energy and health care. My research interests lie at the intersection of science and machine learning, including materials informatics, computational biology, and physics-informed machine learning. I am very excited about the opportunities provided by modern machine learning to accelerate science and engineering.

Prior to joining Microsoft, I completed my PhD at MIT under the guidance of Prof. Tonio Buonassisi (opens in new tab) (MIT MechE) and Dr. John Fisher (opens in new tab) (MIT CSAIL). My dissertation title was “Accelerated development of photovoltaics by physics-informed machine learning”. I developed and deployed machine learning algorithms to accelerate the experimental screening, development and optimization of renewable energy materials and technologies.

In a past life, I briefly worked in the energy industry and completed an internship on particle detector design at CERN.
