Kapil Arya is a research engineer in the Cloud Efficiency group (opens in new tab) where his work focuses on virtualization and data center efficiency.

Before joining MSR, Kapil was at Mesosphere working primarily on the Apache Mesos (opens in new tab) project. Prior to that, he completed his Ph.D. in 2014 at Northeastern University advised by Gene Cooperman (opens in new tab). His research focused on virtualization, distributed checkpointing (DMTCP (opens in new tab)), and reversible debugging.
