Attended the University of Michigan, starting in 1991 as one of the much lauded "Fab Five" group of top freshmen (Jalen Rose, Juwan Howard, Jimmy King, Ray Jackson) who signed and started with UM.
Led the Wolverines to the NCAA final in 1992 (they lost to Duke, 71-51) and 1993 (they lost to North Carolina, 77-71).
Called a timeout with :11 left in the 1993 NCAA final between UM and UNC, and the Wolverines down 73-71, but had none left, resulting in a technical foul and loss of possession---UM eventually lost 77-71.
