The ODSP Applied Science team is shaping the future of content and collaboration by transforming OneDrive and SharePoint into a planet-scale, AI-native knowledge substrate, with security, privacy, and responsibility at its core. We’re redefining how AI remembers, reasons, and acts, powering Microsoft’s broader AI and Copilot strategy.
ODSP AS is focused on high-value areas such as AI evaluation frameworks, synthetic data generation, and vibe content creation, alongside high-ambition topics such as next-generation RAG and proactive knowledge mining. We are also expanding into multimodal AI scenarios (e.g., Photos AI) helping to drive user engagement, sharing, and joy.
The team works in small, hands-on crews of applied scientists and machine learning engineers, collaborating closely with colleagues across ODSP, Microsoft Research, and other Applied Science teams at Microsoft to deliver scientific and product impact at scale.
