- Microsoft 365 is compatible with PC, Mac, Android, and iOS. See system requirements for compatible versions of your devices, and for other feature requirements.
- We wanted to make premium subscription benefits available to even more people at a great price. With this, the OneDrive 100 GB Standalone plan became Microsoft 365 Basic on January 30, 2023. The OneDrive 100 GB Standalone plan is no longer available for purchase. All existing OneDrive 100 GB Standalone plan subscribers were transitioned to the Microsoft 365 Basic plan with no action required.
- Internet access is required to install and activate all the latest releases of apps and services included in all Microsoft 365 subscription plans. Note that if you are an existing subscriber, you do not need to reinstall or purchase another subscription.
For Microsoft 365 plans, internet access is also needed to manage your subscription account, for example to install Office apps on other PCs or to change billing options. Internet access is also required to access documents stored on OneDrive, unless you install the OneDrive desktop app.
If you need to use Word, Excel, or PowerPoint, you will need internet access as you can only use the web versions of the app. - Microsoft 365 Basic is a personal plan created for one person, with benefits including 100 GB of extra cloud storage that can be used across Outlook, OneDrive, and other Microsoft 365 apps. With Microsoft 365 Basic, you'll also get ad-free email with Outlook and access to support experts for help with Microsoft 365 and Windows 11. The Microsoft 365 Business Basic plan is for commercial use with benefits including 1 TB of cloud storage per user, business-class email (name@yourbusiness.com), customer management tools, and call, chat, and meeting functionality for up to 300 people with Microsoft Teams. - Cloud storage with your Microsoft account is shared across your files and photos in OneDrive, attachments in Outlook.com and your Microsoft 365 apps. Your Outlook.com email storage is separate from your Microsoft cloud storage. To increase your storage quotas, you can buy Microsoft 365 Basic or another Microsoft 365 subscription.
