Francisco Rabal



Francisco Rabal was a 20-year-old electrician at a Spanish movie studio when he was selected to appear in 1945's La Prodiga. Rapidly ascending to stardom, Rabal worked with some of the most important directorial talents in the Spanish cinema, from Luis Bunuel to Pedro Almodovar. He won the Cannes Best Actor Award for his performance in The Holy Innocents (1984). Among Francisco Rabal's most notable screen assignments were the title characters in Bunuel's Nazarin (1959) and the Italian El Che Guevara (1968).
