SET UP YOUR SUBSCRIPTION
Set up Microsoft 365 Premium

- Sign in with your Microsoft account at microsoft365.com/apps
- Select “install apps” in the upper right corner and select “Microsoft 365 apps.”
- Download the installer package and follow directions to install. For more help, see this article.

- Download the Microsoft 365 app you want (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive) from the App Store.
- Open the app and tap Sign In.
- Enter your Microsoft account email and password.
- Follow any onboarding prompts, such as setting up notifications or syncing files.

- If you're not already in a Microsoft 365 file or document, open an app such as Word or Excel, open an existing file, or create a new one.
- Select File > Account.
- If you're not already signed in, click Sign in.
- In the window that appears, type the personal email address and password you used for your subscription.

Note: If you're in OneNote, select OneNote from the top menu, and then select Sign in. - In the window that appears, type the personal email address and password you used for your subscription. - Download the app on Windows, Mac, iOS, or Android
- Go to outlook.com on your web browser

- Follow instructions to add your Outlook.com, Hotmail.com, Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud, work or school account to the Outlook app.
- To use your Microsoft 365 benefits, including ad-free email, with all your accounts, link your subscription from your mobile app or Outlook for Windows.
- If you have Windows 11, OneDrive is already installed on your PC. If you're using another version of Windows or a Mac, install OneDrive to get started.

- For Android, search and download the OneDrive app from the Play Store.
- For iOS, search and download the Microsoft 365 Copilot app from the App Store.

- When you install the Microsoft 365 apps on your Windows device, the Microsoft Defender app will automatically be installed for you.
Just launch it from the Start menu (or select the link below) and sign in with the personal Microsoft account you use for Microsoft 365.

- Open https://aka.ms/MacDefender on your device to download the WDAV.PKG installation file.
- Open the WDAV package file on your Mac and follow the installation steps.
- After installing, sign in with the Microsoft account associated with your Microsoft 365 subscription.

How to use Copilot
Start using Copilot in your Microsoft 365 apps
- Copilot is available in the bottom right corner of your screen in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook on the web, and desktop apps if your subscription includes Copilot. Ensure you are signed into the correct account that is licensed for Copilot.

Frequently asked questions
- Microsoft 365 is compatible with PC, Mac, Android, and iOS. See system requirements for compatible versions of your devices, and for other feature requirements.
- No. Microsoft 365 applications are tailored for each platform and each operating system. The applications available for Mac users and the specific features included may be different from those available for PC users. With Microsoft 365, you can transfer your work across PC or Mac devices using your Microsoft account.
- Internet access is required to install and activate all the latest releases of apps and services included in all Microsoft 365 subscription plans. Note that if you are an existing subscriber, you do not need to reinstall or purchase another subscription.
For Microsoft 365 plans, internet access is also needed to manage your subscription account, for example to install Office apps on other PCs or to change billing options. Internet access is also required to access documents stored on OneDrive, unless you install the OneDrive desktop app.
You should also connect to the internet regularly to keep your version of Microsoft 365 up to date and to benefit from automatic upgrades. If you do not connect to the internet at least every 31 days, your apps will go into reduced functionality mode, which means that you can view or print your documents but cannot edit the documents or create new ones. To reactivate your apps, simply reconnect to the internet.
You do not need to be connected to the internet to use the Office apps, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, because the apps are fully installed on your computer. - If you have an active Microsoft 365 Family or Microsoft 365 Premium subscription, you can share it with up to five other people. Each person you share your subscription with can install Microsoft 365 on all their devices and sign in to five devices at the same time.
To add someone to your subscription, sign in to your Microsoft account and follow the on-screen instructions to add a user. Each person you add will receive an email with the steps they need to follow. Once they have accepted and completed the steps, their information, including the installs they are using, will appear on their My account page. You can stop sharing your subscription with someone or remove a device they are using by logging into your Microsoft account. - To use Copilot in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook, make sure you have the latest version of Microsoft 365 installed. If you're signed in, have the latest updates installed, and still don't see Copilot, please restart your Microsoft 365 apps. Learn more about why I am not seeing Copilot in my apps.
