Overview

The Software Analysis and Intelligence group  is part of Microsoft Research, Redmond with the goal to Enable people to measure and improve software products and processes everywhere”.

The focus areas of the SAINT group are as follows: 

  • ProductivityQuantify team and developer productivity and design interventions to improve productivity. Investigate a Moore’s law for productivity. 
  • Inclusiveness. Improve the inclusiveness and diversity of developer communities within and outside Microsoft. Help GitHub to be an inclusive, diverse, and level playing field.  
  • Engagement. Increase the number of developers using Microsoft technologies/tools/sites. Make the Microsoft ecosystem the most attractive for software developers. Empower people who are not traditional software developers to transition into software creator roles.
