I am a Researcher in the Systems and Networking Group at Microsoft Research Cambridge. My research interests include storage systems, file systems and data center networking. I am currently working on Project Silica, which is a novel storage system designed from the ground up specifically for the cloud, using quartz glass to store data for long-term. I received my PhD and MSc from the University of Ioannina in Greece, in 2015 and 2009 respectively. During my PhD, I focused on improving the data durability, resource efficiency and system performance in local and distributed filesystems.
