Ida Momennejad

Principal Researcher in Reinforcement Learning

About

I am a neuroscientist and AI researcher working as a Principal Researcher in Reinforcement Learning(RL)/Machine Learning (ML) at Microsoft Research, New York City. For two decades, my research combines machine learning and RL with human behavior and neuroimaging to ask a number of questions:

How do learning, memory, reasoning, & agency interact to shape natural intelligence?
How can this inform building and evaluating AI architectures that generalize & reason in open-ended settings?

For a list of preprints and papers, please visit my personal webpage (opens in new tab). You can hear about my work on Rethinking intelligence, in conversation with MSR’s AI frontiers podcast, among others.
