About
I am a Senior Researcher in the Core ML group at Microsoft Research in New York City. I study the algorithms and architectures underlying large language models, with a focus on model architecture, long-context capabilities, and post-training, including reinforcement learning. More broadly, I am interested in understanding how architectural and algorithmic choices shape what neural networks learn and how they generalize.
Before joining Microsoft Research, I was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard, hosted by Boaz Barak and Sham Kakade. I received my PhD from Princeton University, where I was advised by Boris Hanin.
