I am a Radiation Oncology Consultant at Microsoft Research Cambridge, and a member of the InnerEye team.
I work as academic radiation oncologist at the University of Cambridge, and Addenbrooke’s Hospital Cambridge. I am also a visiting fellow at the University of Manchester and the University of Surrey, and a visiting scientist at the European Centre for Nuclear Research (CERN). My research interests are in the use of imaging, computation and simulation to improve radiation oncology treatment .
I have been working with the InnerEye team since 2010 to develop novel approaches for detection of brain tumours using artificial intelligence and machine learning. Together we have developed solutions for a range of clinical problems, such as counting the number of tumour cells in a microscope image, all the way up to identifying the extent and location of a brain tumour in a magnetic resonance image.
