Senior Hardware Engineer


Jeremy Fowers is a senior hardware engineer in the Catapult/BrainWave team at Microsoft Research NeXT. He earned his PhD in electrical engineering at the University of Florida in 2014, with a focus on high performance reconfigurable architectures, and has been with Microsoft since. Jeremy is currently serving as the lead architect for Microsoft’s DNN processing unit (DPU) for FPGAs, and is researching novel ISA, numerical, and microarchitectural techniques to maximize DNN performance on FPGAs.
