Dr. Tao Ge (葛涛) is a Senior Researcher in Natural Language Computing group at Microsoft Research Asia and his research interest is natural language generation (e.g., text rewrite, text prediction, and related pre-trained models). Tao develops state-of-the-art NLP models (e.g., neural grammar checker) for Office products as the NLP scientist for writing intelligence, and also works as the NLP expert of Microsoft Xiaoying (微软小英) and is responsible for NLP-related solutions for English writing (e.g., scoring and proofreading) in the ESL educational scenario.
Before joining MSRA in 2017, Tao received his PhD degree from Peking University, with a focus on natural language processing. Tao has published 30+ papers at top-tier NLP/AI conferences (e.g., ACL, EMNLP, NeurIPS, ICLR, AAAI) and serves as the area chair and program committee member for the conferences.
