Microsoft Health Users Group Innovation Awards: Call for entries

11 December 2013 | Steve Aylward, Microsoft, General Manager, Solutions & Strategy, U.S. Health & Life Sciences

Each year, the Microsoft Health Users Group acknowledges forward-thinking health organizations and their technology solution partners that take advantage of Microsoft-based technology to advance patient care, reduce costs, and streamline clinical and business processes. Those who use Microsoft technologies to innovate and improve how healthcare can be delivered are encouraged to submit their entry for the Microsoft Health Users Group 2014 Innovation Awards by January 20, 2014.  Nominations can include clinical, financial, administrative, or consumer facing solutions.

Who should enter?

We encourage hospitals, health systems, clinics, group practices, public health organizations, and health plans to submit nominations that share how they developed and implemented a solution based on the latest Microsoft technology—either independently or with a technology partner. The award emphasizes the innovative application of software and the creation of a new solution. In other words, we’re looking for organizations that have used Microsoft technology to create game-changing solutions that have made a real impact on healthcare and have the ability to scale to broad spectrum of healthcare organizations and consumers.

Why enter?

The Microsoft Health Users Group Awards provide an opportunity to shine a light on healthcare organizations that are addressing industry challenges in innovative ways.

In addition to having the opportunity to receive recognition and publicity for your efforts, winners will be awarded with a plaque, and will be featured in promotional and marketing activities that will include a press release, web content, and possible media interviews. Winners will also receive guidance document on ways to publicize their solution including a logo to use for all their marketing materials throughout the next year that identifies you as a winner of the Microsoft Health Users Group 2014 Innovation Award.

What’s the submission deadline?

Submission entry closes at 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time on Monday, January 20, 2014.
