About

Amanda Coston is a Post-Doc with the Microsoft Statistics and Machine Learning Team. Amanda earned her PhD in Machine Learning and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University, and she holds a BSE in Computer Science from Princeton. She is interested in causal inference, machine learning, and the societal impacts of data-driven algorithms. Her current focus concerns the validity, equity, and governance of algorithms used in societally consequential settings.
