Derek Worthen is a Software Engineer in the Catalyst Lab at Microsoft Research focusing on agentic engineering practices and processes. His work centers on incorporating agentic work into the DNA of Catalyst Lab—so we can move end-to-end from idea to customer delivery faster and share what works so others can reuse it. We align with the tooling and infrastructure of the broader research organization and company, while pushing past to chart an accelerating path when needed. Derek holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Washington State University.
