About

I am a research scientist in the Machine Learning and Optimization Group (opens in new tab) at Microsoft Research Redmond.

In Fall 2018 I was the VMware Research Fellow at the Simons Institute (opens in new tab). I did my Ph.D at MIT (opens in new tab), where I was fortunate to work with Ankur Moitra (opens in new tab). I also did my masters at MIT under the wonderful supervision of Nir Shavit (opens in new tab).

My primary research interests are in how to make machine learning algorithms scalable and reliable, in a principled manner. My goal is to leverage mathematical insights to improve robustness of real-world ML systems. I am also more generally interested in learning theory and distributed algorithms.
