Sulaiman Vesal is part of leadership team in Microsoft’s AI Development Acceleration Program (MAIDAP – Microsoft New England (opens in new tab)), within the Office of the CTO, where he oversees teams building cutting-edge AI solutions with broad impact across the enterprise. He is also deeply committed to mentoring emerging AI talent and shaping future leaders in the field. Before joining Microsoft, Sulaiman led AI research at Hanwha Vision America (opens in new tab), focusing on security, computer vision and multimodal surveillance systems. Prior to that, he worked as a senior research scientist at Urologic Cancer Innovation Lab (opens in new tab) at Stanford University (opens in new tab), developing AI-driven tools for cancer diagnostics and clinical decision support. He also contributed to innovations in cardiovascular imaging during his time at UCSF.
