Noah Amsel is a fourth-year PhD student in Computer Science at NYU. He is advised by Chris Musco and Joan Bruna and supported by an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. Noah studies algorithms for machine learning. Major themes in his research include linear algebra and approximation theory. Lately he has been focused on pretraining methods.
