The Multimedia & Visualizations for Science Workshop featured leading-edge innovations in science-oriented web multimedia, large-scale data exploration and visualization, speech and object recognition, image indexing and analysis, human/computer interaction and virtual environments, among other topics.

The workshop was hosted by Microsoft Research and the International Council for Scientific and Technical Information (ICSTI).
