City at the End of Time

  • Greg Bear

Do you dream of a city at the end of time? In a time like the present, in a world that may or may not be our own, three young people dream of a fabulous, decadent city in the distant future. These dreams overtake them without warning, leaving their bodies behind while carrying their consciousness forward, into the minds of inhabitants of that new world. These young people become fate-shifters, born to skip like stones across the surface of the fifth dimension, inhabiting alternate versions of themselves. Travel with them to Earth’s final city, where humanity is fighting a metaphysical disease that threatens to corrupt all of history.
