About
I work at the intersection of research, product, and strategy, helping bridge the gap between exploratory research and real-world impact. Over more than two decades at Microsoft, I’ve had the opportunity to connect researchers, engineering teams, customers, and business stakeholders to help turn ideas into technologies and experiences that make a difference.
Most of my career has been in Product Management, where I’ve had the chance to both ship products and explore new ideas. The first half of my journey was spent in the world of databases, primarily SQL Server, where I developed a deep appreciation for storage systems, relational engines, platform technologies, and customer-driven product development. The second half was a happy accident that brought me into Microsoft Research, where I found myself surrounded by brilliant researchers, ambitious ideas, and opportunities to learn something new every day.
Living in both worlds has shaped how I think about innovation. Product taught me the importance of customers, execution, scale, and impact. Research taught me how to embrace uncertainty, stay curious, and think beyond immediate horizons. Over time, I discovered that my passion lies at the intersection of the two, helping connect breakthrough ideas with meaningful problems, building bridges between researchers and engineering teams, and creating pathways that turn promising research into real-world impact.
My work focuses on identifying high-impact opportunities for research, shaping technology transfer efforts, and helping transform emerging ideas into capabilities that can influence products and platforms at scale. Throughout my career, I’ve worked across areas including AI systems, enterprise software, cloud infrastructure, security, data platforms, developer technologies, and responsible AI.
Today, I’m particularly interested in how advances in AI can become practical, deployable systems that improve productivity, decision-making, and human outcomes. I enjoy working with research teams to identify meaningful problems, validate scenarios, build partnerships, and create connections between research innovation and product impact.
What continues to excite me most is the opportunity to learn. Technology changes constantly, but the underlying challenge remains the same: bringing together great ideas, talented people, and thoughtful execution to create meaningful impact. It’s been a journey filled with learning, adaptation, and curiosity, and I’m enjoying the ride.
