Hastings-Levitov aggregation in the small-particle limit
- James Norris | University of Cambridge
The talk will describe a model of planar aggregation which exhibits the widely-observed phenomenon of the growth of fingers, but which is simple enough that we can establish analytically, in the small-particle limit, both the bulk shape of the cluster and a limit law for the fingers.

James Norris is Professor of Stochastic Analysis in the University of Cambridge. He works on the analysis of probabilistic models motivated by many different applications. Recent work has focussed on models for aggregation and coalescence. For a link to publications, see: http://www.statslab.cam.ac.uk/~james/
