Louise Personal Assistant (TV)
- Lisa Stifelman | Microsoft
Project Louise is an ongoing, multiyear prototyping effort to build an automated personal assistant. This video shows Louise on a television. A conversational interaction model, along with support for multimodal input such as speech plus gesture, has been developed to provide a novel conversational NUI experience. The system operates seamlessly over the breadth of the Internet, with a combination of web browsing, search, and deep, rich experiences in a handful of high-value domains, such as those developed previously for the Windows Phone. The prototype was created by Madhu Chinthakunta, Lisa Stifelman, Dilek Hakkani-Tur, Gokhan Tur, Rukmini Iyer, Partha Parthasarathy, Andreas Stolcke, and Liz Shriberg under the leadership of Larry Heck in the Conversational Systems Lab (2010).
