Newton Harrision on Climate Change
- Newton Harrison | Center of the Force Majeure
The talk will define the work of the Center of the Force Majeure and present three Force Majeure works addressing climate change. 1. Peninsula Europe 2. Saving the West 3. Future Gardens This work is about withdrawal; it is about identifying what has become irrational behavior in the face of immense change and adapting at great scale. It is about the process of letting go of business as usual. We work at sea level with its rising tide of salt and brackish waters, as well as at the highest altitudes where the majority of water for human agricultural and industrial activity emerges.
