LEAP – Language, Learning, Audio, Privacy

Scientists and engineers in the LEAP (Language, Learning, Audio, Privacy) research area make and harness advances in machine learning, natural language processing, and signal processing to:

  • enable machines to understand natural language,
  • enrich gaming experiences with artificial intelligence (AI),
  • improve audio in applications such as conference calling,
  • develop brain-computer interfaces,
  • build better search engines,
  • deploy AI efficiently at scale, and
  • build customer trust via privacy-enhancing technologies.

We advance the state-of-the-art in AI while providing practical solutions to real-world problems and translating core technologies into practice.
