Kate Cook

About

Kate Cook is a Program Manager on the Microsoft Turing team which is a cross-company Deep Learning/AI initiative. Turing is developing and productizing high-ambition deep learning capabilities across Microsoft’s suite of products (Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Bing, Dynamics, Maps, etc.). Her area of focus currently includes Natural Language Generation, and Document & Query Representation through Vector Space Embeddings.

Kate is also a member of Microsoft’s AI and Ethics in Engineering and Research (AETHER) Working Group on Fairness & Inclusiveness, and co-leads the workstream on Natural Language.

Kate has a Bachelors of Science in Cognitive Science with a Specialization in Computing from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
