I am a quantum information theorist and mathematical physicist. I focus on topologically ordered phases which may allow universal quantum computation. I am interested in applications of ideas from quantum information theory to condensed matter physics, in particular in non-local entanglement in topologically ordered phases. I use a variety of analytical and mathematical approaches and also have some interest in numerical simulation and application of these mathematical ideas to develop novel algorithms.
