I am interested in machine learning and computer vision algorithms for agriculture, remote sensing and environmental observation. I received my PhD in mathematics from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1996, worked on speech recognition for IBM research for 15 years, and agriculture for 8 years and have been with Microsoft since 2019. My main project has been cloud-removal by fusing data from electro-optical and radar-frequency sensors. My other projects involve super-resolution for satellite images and optical data fusion (satellites and UAVs) across time and space.
