On Deforming Confoliations

We introduce a parabolic deformation of one-forms on compact, orientable, odd-dimensional manifolds. Under appropriate initial conditions, the flow produces contact forms. We give applications of these techniques including new results demonstrating the existence of contact forms on products of certain contact manifolds with arbitrary surfaces. In particular, we product contact forms on the product of any three dimensional manifold with any surface.
