Speaker Details

Serene Banerjee is a Senior Research Scientist at HP Labs, India, as a part of the CrowdCloud project. Prior to joining HP Labs, India, she worked on image/video processing algorithms in Texas Instruments, India, Inc. and Intel, Inc. She received her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 2004, under Prof. Brian L. Evans. Her dissertation was on composition guided image acquisition for digital still cameras. She finished her Masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 2001, and her B. Tech (H) from Electronics and Electrical Communications Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, India, in 1999. She is a member of the IEEE.
