Creating a branded platform for expert crowdsourced proofreading and copy-editing
- Anders Schepelern | Wordy Limited.
The idea of Wordy is to make it easier, faster and cheaper to produce and distribute easier-to-digest high-value content, by making expert proofreaders and copy-editors instantly available to clients.
In this talk, I’ll focus on the surprises and difficulties in creating such a branded expert crowdsourced platform. I’ll compare Wordy with other services for editing and proofreading, as well as with language providers as such. I’ll touch on how we, as an organisation, handle conflicts within a distributed workforce but also perform day-to-day tasks like making payments and recruiting. Finally, I’ll describe how we plan to distribute and scale Wordy to be more than “just” a human-powered web application.
