This session will explore the newly added C++ support in WP8 and the new application models where C++ is available. We will discuss C++ standard support, pure native applications, WinRT, and interop capabilities, issues and limitations.

Speaker Details
Tim Laverty is a program manager lead in the Windows Phone Division working on the Phone Developer Platform. He is responsible for helping build next generation WP developer technologies from Microsoft. Tim has contributed to the design of a wide range of features at Microsoft crossing native code in WP8, System.Data, System.XML, and Visual Studio Tooling. Tim is a 20-year industry vet and has worked in various industries including games, government, agriculture, and commercial software.
