Chetan Nayak received his PhD in Physics from Princeton University in 1996. He was a post-doctoral fellow at the Institute for Theoretical Physics at UCSB. He has been a professor at UCLA since July 1997, and has been a visiting professor at Nihon University in Tokyo and a visiting researcher at Microsoft Research. His research deals with the properties of correlated electron systems with applications to superconductivity and quantum computing.
