Ava Soleimany is a senior researcher at Microsoft Research in Cambridge, MA. Her research focuses on engineering new technologies for precision medicine and has spanned machine learning, bioengineering, and cancer biology. Ava completed her PhD in Biophysics at Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where she worked with Sangeeta Bhatia at the Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research and was supported by the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. In addition to research, she is a lead organizer and instructor for MIT Introduction to Deep Learning, MIT’s official introductory course on deep learning. Soleimany received her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Molecular Biology from MIT.
