Brandon Perez is a hardware engineer in the Catapult/BrainWave team at Bing. He joined Microsoft in 2017 to work on Project Catapult/BrainWave. Brandon works on building tools to efficiently map neural networks to Project BrainWave and adding software and microarchitectural optimizations to more efficiently run machine learning applications. His primary interests include logic design, machine learning, embedded systems, computer architecture, and systems programming.
Prior to joining Microsoft, he was an intern at several different companies, working on various projects ranging from accelerating machine learning systems to writing embedded Linux drivers to computer architecture profiling. Brandon received his B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 2016 and his M.S in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 2017.
