Portrait of Cameron Musco

Cameron Musco

Postdoctoral Researcher

I study the algorithmic foundations of data science and machine learning from an interdisciplinary perspective, drawing on tools from theoretical computer science, numerical linear algebra, optimization, statistics, and biology. I am particularly interested in the power of randomized algorithms and in methods for streaming, distributed, and low-memory computation. I recently completed my Ph.D. at MIT and after my postdoc will join UMass Amherst as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science in the Fall of 2019.
