Portrait of James Wright

James Wright

Post Doc Researcher

James Wright’s research focuses on problems at the intersection of behavioral game theory and machine learning, with a focus on modeling and predicting human behavior in strategic settings.  He is particularly interested in using these tools to develop algorithms that are optimized for people, rather than perfectly rational theoretical agents.  Prior to joining Microsoft research, he completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of British Columbia, where he was advised by Kevin Leyton-Brown.
